exactly ten days ago was my 27th bday... I figured 27 is a suspicious number... Can't explain much why, just felt that way...
Some are asking what was my bday wish this year.
It is a simple wish, probably the simplest wishes I ever made. I was greed before hehe....
My wish this year is me to become a simple hao nan ren, meaning a simple good man. I don't want to think too much. I wish everything would be a simple thing and may lead my way to be a good man.
I bought myself a bday gift, a new ipod shuffle with engraved word "Hao Nan Ren" to remind me about the wish I had committed to.

Today, not more than four hours ago, my fren gave me a shocking news. HE'S GETTING MARRIED soon!!! WOW... I'm really excited to hear this news. He's one of my closest fren back then in junior high school in Medan, and yes he still is now although we rarely met and talked.
On the way home from office, my memories about us were flashing back. He is such a good fren of mine, we usually spent time off discussing homework, music, movies, sport (err this can be opt out as I'm not a big fan of sport haha), and girls... We used to be teasing each other about the girl we do like and dislike haha... When we were having an extra afternoon class, I used to go to his house for break as his house is near to the school. We did lose contact after graduating junior high school and that time I had to move to Jakarta. Never heard a single news about him for 4-5 years until I knew that he's taking degree at Binus while I'm at Untar. So close yet so far haha...
After that, we do have contact each other even tough I had flown to Batam and now stuck in Singapore. And I remembered during school time, I ever once jokingly asked him whether he is keen to be my best man when I'm getting married someday. But GUESS WHAT... Now he's the one who's asking me to be his best man. I'm quite surprise and it is hardly for me to resist his offer.
Congratz, bro... I'm happy for you :)
However, the news about him getting married soon had blown me away and made me realize few things:
1. I'm getting older now... Oh man, next month I will reach the magic number 27... auch... haha... It's better not to let my mom knows about this news, if not... better not to say it here :D
2. I've been wasting my two years waiting for nothing. Yeah, I always thought that I could and have over it, but I could not lie to myself anymore that I'm still in love with her, wanting her all this time, which I think it is the silly thing to do as it does not erase the fact we are not and should not be and could not be meant for each other.
3. It's time to open a new leaf for my heart (I kept saying this all the time even in my new year, my chinese near year resolution :D).. I know this time I have to do it, not just say it... Move On... Go on...

Tak Ada NPWP, Fiskal 2.5 juta

Ditjen Pajak telah menetapkan tarif fiskal bagi yang tak memiliki Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (NPWP) sebesar Rp 2,5 juta untuk setiap orang yang bepergian ke luar negeri dengan menggunakan pesawat udara. Sementara via angkutan laut bagi yang tak memiliki NPWP akan dikenai fiskal Rp 1 juta.

Pembayaran Fiskal Luar Negeri (FLN) itu merupakan pembayaran angsuran Pajak Penghasilan (PPH) yang dapat dikreditkan terhadap PPH yang terutang pada akhir tahun oleh Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi (WP OP) yang bersangkutan setelah memiliki NPWP.

Pengenaan fiskal itu berarti naik 150% dibandingkan fiskal via angkutan udara yang saat ini sebesar Rp 1 juta. Sementara untuk via angkutan laut, fiskal berarti naik 100% dari saat ini sebesar Rp 500 ribu. Namun jumlah ini lebih rendah dari usulan semula sebesar Rp 3 juta untuk angkutan via udara.

Menurut siaran pers dari Ditjen Pajak, Selasa (23/12/2008), ketentuan ini berlaku mulai 1 Januari 2008 untuk WP OP yang berusia 21 tahun. Keputusan ini akan berlaku hingga 31 Desember 2010.

Pengecualian kewajiban membayar FLN bagi WP OP yang bepergian ke luar negeri dilakukan secara otomatif untuk WP OP tertentu dengna cara menerbitkan Surat Keterangan Bebas Fiskal Luar Negeri (SKBFLN).

Pihak-pihak yang secara otomatif bebas fiskal adalah:

WP OP yang berusia kurang dari 21 tahun
Orang asing yang berada di Indonesia kurang dari 183 hari dalam 12 bulan
Pejabat Perwajilan Diplomatik
Pejabat Perwajilan Organisasi Internasional
WNI yang memiliki dokumen resmi penduduk negara lain
Jamaah Haji
Pelintas batas jalan darat
Tenaga Kerja Indonesia dengan Kartu Tenaga Kerja Luar Negeri (KTKLN).

Yang bebas SKBFLN adalah:

Mahasiswa asing dengan rekomendasi perguruan tinggi.
Orang asing yang melakukan penelitian
Tenaga kerja asing di pulau Batam, Bintan dan Karimun
Penyandang cacat atau orang sakit yang akan berobat ke luar negeri atas biaya organisasi sosial termasuk seorang pendamping
Anggota misi kesenian, kebudayaan, olah raga dan keagamaan
Program pertukaran mahasiswa dan pelajar
Tenaga Kerja Indonesia selain KTKLN.

Bagi WP OP yang bebas fiskal karena memiliki NPWP, maka:
1. Menyerahkan fotokopi kartu NPWP atau Surat Keterangan Terdaftar (SKT) atau Surat Keterangan Terdaftar Sementara (SKTS), fotokopi paspor dan boarding pass ke petugas Unit Pelaksana Fiskal Luar Negeri (UPFLN).

Jika kartu NPWP atas nama Kepala Keluarga, maka anggota keluarga yang akan berangkat ke luar negeri harus melampirkan fotokopi kartu keluarga.

2. Petugas UPFLN menerima dan meneliti fotokopi kartu NPWP/SKT/SKTS, fotokopi paspor dan boarding pass serta fotokopi kartu keluarga, kemudian menginput NPWP pada aplikasi yang tersedia.

3. Apabila NPWP dinyatakan valid, maka petugas UPFLN menempelkan stiker bebas fiskal pada bagian belakang boarding pass yang ditujukan untuk penumpang.

4. Penumpang menyerahkan boarding pass yang telah ditempel stiker Bebas Fiskal kepada petugas konter pengecekan FLN untuk diteliti.

5. Penumpang tujuan luar negeri tetap wajib membayar FLN jika:

Tidak menyerahkan fotokopi kartu NPWP/SKT/SKTS
Menyerahkan fotokopi NPWP/SKT/SKTS namun check digit menyatakan tidak valid
Menyerahkan fotokopi kartu NPWP/SKT/SKTS yang dimiliki oleh Kepala Keluarga namun tidak melampirkan kartu keluarga atau melampirkan kartu keluarga tetapi nama penumpang tidak tercantum dalam susunan kartu keluarga itu.

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is a 1922 short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It has been adapted for a 2008 film of the same name directed by David Fincher.

The story begins in 1860, just before the beginning of the American Civil War, with the birth of the protagonist, Benjamin Button. Benjamin Button is born with the physical appearance of a seventy-year-old man, and when his father first visits him mere hours after his birth he is already able to speak. To avoid embarrassment, Benjamin's father forces him to shave his beard and dye his hair in order to look younger.

As the story progresses it soon becomes apparent to the Button family that Benjamin is aging backwards. At the age of eighteen he attempts to enroll at Yale University. However, having run out of hair-dye on the day of his interview, the officials at Yale send him away believing that he is a fifty-year-old lunatic.

Several years later, while attending a party with his father (who now looks to be the same age as Benjamin), Benjamin meets the young Hildegarde Moncrief, the daughter of a respected Civil War general. Hildegarde tells Benjamin that she would rather be with an older man because they treat women better. He dances with her, and they quickly fall in love and marry. Benjamin soon takes over his father's hardware business, and he proves to be highly adept at the job--while growing fabulously rich.

As Benjamin "grows younger", he begins to feel healthier and happier, as Fitzgerald says, "the blood flowed with new vigour through his veins". However, his wife ceases to attract him as she ages, and he soon decides to fight in the Spanish-American War. He serves with great distinction and receives a medal for a wound he received at the Battle of San Juan Hill. When he returns home his relationship with his wife deteriorates further, and he becomes more detached from her, and he often leaves the house and goes to lavish parties and dances, while his wife is more settled in her ways.

In 1910 Benjamin turns over control of his company to his son, Roscoe, and enrolls at Harvard, with the appearance of a 20-year-old. His first year at Harvard is a great success, and he dominates on the football field. However, by the time Benjamin reaches his senior year he is a frail sixteen-year-old too weak to play football and barely able to cope with the academic load.

After he graduates from Harvard, he learns his wife has moved to Italy, and Benjamin goes to live with his son who treats him somewhat disdainfully, telling Benjamin to call him "Uncle" when other people are around. One day Benjamin receives a commission in the mail to serve as a brigadier-general in the United States Army. When he goes to report he is only just able to persuade a clerk to give him a uniform, for he looks to be only sixteen years of age. He is soon forced to leave.

Benjamin returns home, and as the years progress he goes from being a moody teenager to being a young boy and is reluctantly cared for by Roscoe. Eventually, he looks to be the same age as his own grandson, and even attends kindergarten with him. As his body grows younger, Button slowly begins to lose his memory of his earlier life. The toys and games that he spurned as a newborn begin to interest him. As he reaches the end of his life he becomes a baby, and his nanny takes him for walks and teaches him to say words. His memory deteriorates to the point where he can't remember anything except the immediate present, and eventually, all goes dark.

Indonesia - why there is no recession in the world's leading Muslim economy

Following the election of US President-elect Barack Obama there is likely to be a slow recovery in confidence in the United States financial and banking system. A recession is unavoidable in the US and EU, but with only a downturn in developing countries. This crisis of confidence in the Western banking and financial system comes during the dying days of the most unpopular American presidency in living memory. Financial mismanagement and weak regulatory frameworks have devastated the US economy, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Two million Americans may lose their homes. Millions in the US and Europe will lose their jobs.

Yet the devastating legacy of the Bush presidency leaves open great opportunities for Indonesia, the Muslim world and the developing countries of the South.
Indonesia can play a key role in leading the Muslim world toward economic recovery, and help minimize the impact of global recession.

First, by managing its national economy to maintain growth, demand, imports and exports. The nominal Gross Domestic Product for 2009 is projected at $547 billion. Indonesia is already in the top 20 economies of the world.

Indonesia is currently overtaking Belgium and Sweden. It will soon overtake Turkey, the Netherlands and Austria as it enormous size, resources and population come into play. It is a strong candidate to join the top 10 economies in the world within two decades.

Second, by mobilizing investment for oil, gas, energy projects, biofuels, infrastructure (roads, railways, ports), manufacturing and retailing sectors. It needs over $40 billion for electricity alone, to finance an additional 40,000 MWe of power by 2025. Indonesia will become a nuclear power, and plans four power stations. Total foreign investment needed overall during the next 15 years exceeds $100 billion.

Investment is still coming from the US and EU (including Eastern Europe) but increasingly from the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China), and also from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation countries like Canada, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and from Association of Southeast Asian Nations member states (including Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand). Investment is also coming in greater volume from the Gulf Arab states, Israel and South Africa.

Third, Indonesia can help lead Muslim economies by using its economic size and prestige as a member of the United Nations Security Council to join Brazil, Russia, India, China and Southern countries to bring about changes in policies and in the balance of power in world organizations dealing with trade, finance and development, especially the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO).

Indonesia has major reservations about the IMF following its own experience in 1998. German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck said that the world should not slip into creating a shadow world economic government run by an inner IMF council. Indonesia is also tired of being kept on the fringes in the WTO.

Asia and Southern countries want a new deal. Muslim countries collectively represent an increasingly important source of capital, while Western liquidity has partly dried up. Muslim economies represent important investment sources as well as investment destinations. The collective size of Muslim economies represents significant demand for Western goods and services, relatively unaffected by the recession in the West.

Indonesia can still deploy export credits, sovereign funds, Islamic finance and other non-traditional financial sources, such as environmental funds and carbon credits. Despite the global downturn Indonesia is still pulling in some bank finance.

A $140 million syndicated loan for Excelcomindo for telecommunications expansion was announced recently. Low-cost airline Lion Air is buying 12 Boeing 737 planes even though the required local cash contribution for the last four has risen to 30 percent. Lion Air will use its own cash to carry on expanding. St. Miguel Corp. of the Philippines is competing with a US-led consortium to clinch a $1.3 billion coal supply deal, to buy PT Bumi Resources from Bakri Brothers. There is money here and money coming in.

Standard and Poors is holding Indonesian credit ratings stable and its credit rating may even be raised. Singapore could slip into recession but Indonesia will not, and the reason is mostly sheer size plus improved financial and economic management.

Indonesia is in a key position as the largest Muslim country in the world with a population of 230 million and a land area of 1.9 million square kilometers.

The Indonesian Gross Domestic Product was $843.7 billion in terms of purchasing power and $432.9 billion in terms of official exchange rates in 2007. It has fixed foreign investment of $57.6 billion and holds $9 billion of investment in other countries. It has more than 3,500 millionaires holding over $100 million each, of whom 70 percent live in Jakarta.

Its current economic growth is 6.5 percent and may fall below 6 percent in 2009 due to reduced exports. Government will stimulate growth using the national budget which already reached $100 billion in 2008. Government is confident it can hold growth at 6 percent. The World Bank has set aside a $2 billion standby loan for 2009 only to be triggered if growth falls below 5.8 percent.

In 2007 Indonesian exports were $118 billion and imports $86 billion, a trade surplus of $32 billion, and foreign exchange reserves as of this month were $50 billion.

Indonesia has already lost some jobs in sectors like textiles. Some exports to the US and Europe fell in the fourth quarter. The stock market, government bonds and the national currency also fell in value during the global financial crash in the first week of October.
The government launched a securities buy-back program spearheaded by state-owned enterprises and defended the rupiah currency by intervening in the currency market via the Bank of Indonesia. The government also took steps to increase liquidity and focused on getting inflation under control and on maintaining growth.

The government has increased guarantees on personal deposits to 2 billion rupiahs ($190,000), which covers 100 percent of deposits for over 99.7 percent of 81 million bank accounts.

Indonesian banks are strong, with adequate reserves, low non-performing loans and almost no exposure to subprime losses. Only a small group of investors lost money on Lehman-related instruments purchased via international banks.

The Indonesian inflation rate is declining from a high of 12 percent to maybe 9 percent by January with reductions planned to between 9 percent and 7 percent for the rest of 2009. The bank rate is being stabilized at 9.5 percent after six months of consecutive rises. It will be held for a while and then reduced to 7.5 percent in 2009.

Indonesian bonds are recovering from their recent nose-dive and the stock market is stabilizing. Local economists say the stock market was over-valued and more normal values and returns will be restored as part of the local share trading cycle.

The government is now focusing on trying to mobilize its massive $115 billion dollar national budget for 2009, up from $100 billion in 2008, to push projects and overall spending forward and help substitute local demand for declines in exports, with every hope of keeping economic growth for 2009 at between 5.5 and 6.0 percent.

Despite the collapse of the Bank of Indonesia subsidiary Indover Bank in the Netherlands, there is no sovereign default. Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and the new central bank governor, Boediono, have taken a stand against previous mismanagement.
In contrast to the kid-glove treatment of failed bankers and financial managers in the West, who took imprudent and possibly illegal risks, the Indonesian government is directing the work of its Corruption Eradication Commission and Corruption Court against corrupt central bankers and parliamentarians who took bribes.

The Indonesian government also says it will pursue legally those who misused its name and dragged it into the Indover collapse, by implying there were sovereign guarantees backing Indover borrowing when there were none. It also intends to pursue allegations of short trading and fraudulent practices in the stock exchange.

Indonesia lost 10 years as a result of the 1998 banking crash when it put its fate in the hands of the IMF, which initially failed to understand local strengths and exaggerated local weaknesses. An historical photo shows President Suharto sitting at his desk, signing his own political death-warrant while the IMF representative stood over him, as he signed the IMF agreement.

A lot has changed between the Asian banking crash of 1998 and the Wall Street crash of 2008. The economic balance of power in the world has changed and the balance of global power has shifted to the South and East. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown recognized this when he urged the Gulf states and the G20 to help stabilize the world economy.
In the 1998 bank crash Indonesia had no freedom and no choice.

This time in 2008 Indonesia has freedom and is stronger, and can chose to tread its own path. Hopefully its greater strength and determination will inspire Muslim and Southern countries not to panic in the face of recession in the West, but to work together to avoid the spread of recession to the South and to build and strengthen a new world economic order.

Ada kabar gembira bagi Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang akan berlibur ke Australia atau tengah berada di Negeri Kangguru. Jika mengantongi visa berlibur, Anda bisa berlibur sambil bekerja.

"Kalau ada orang kita yang mau berlibur ke Australia bisa kerja selama
visanya berlaku," kata Juru Bicara Deplu Teuku Faizasyah kepada detikcom saat ditemui di kantornya, Gedung Deplu, Jalan Pejambon, Jakarta Pusat pada Jumat 14 November 2008.

Menurut pria yang akrab disapa Faiz ini, rencana itu mendapat dukungan penuh dari pemerintah Indonesia maupun Australia. Kesepakatan diambil dengan penandatanganan work&holiday visa memorandum of understanding yang akan dilakukan pada akhir tahun ini.

"Intinya pemerintah menudukung ini untuk meningkatkan interaksi antar
masyarakat. Sementara untuk detail pelaksanaannya masih dibahas," ujarnya.

Faiz mengatakan, pemberlakuan visa kerja dan libur ini dapat digunakan khususnya bagi para mahasiswa asal Indonesia yang menimba ilmu di Australia.

Ada sekitar 15 ribu siswa Indonesia yang diharapkan bisa mempraktekkan ilmunya dan agar ketika kembali ke tanah air bisa mendapatkan keahlian.

"Mungkin ada peluang untuk mengisi pekerjaan tertentu yang lebih baik sesuai
dengan apa yang mereka pelajari. Jadi sambil berlibur bisa bekerja," kata Faiz.

Faiza menambahkan langkah ini diambil karena pemerintah ingin menarik
keuntungan. Sebab, para mahasiswa yang ada di Australia selama ini bekerja
pada jenis-jenis pekerjaan yang tidak sesuai dengan ilmu yang dipelajari.

Untuk itu, lanjut dia, dengan adanya kesepakatan ini para mahasiswa bisa mendapat pengalaman kerja yang lebih baik.

"Kita menarik dari sisi keahlian dan hasil (uang) yang didapat mungkin bisa
lebih banyak," kata Faiz

Indonesian pop princess Agnes Monica gave star performance at the Asia Song Festival 2008 in Sangam Stadium, Seoul, South Korea, Oct 4, 2008. The young R&B/pop singer came to the festival without any expectation but to share her passion of music with other Asian countries. However the result was even beyond her expectation.

Agnes, who at first wasn’t considered as noticeable, became a dark horse and turned the table. Several local producers asked the prospect of cooperation with Agnes as well. Regarding this odd-on chance, the pretty girl can only ask for prayer and support from her fans.

“I am speechless. Feels like a dream comes true. But I know it’s all the result of hard work and it’s only the beginning. I still have to do a lot of work and a lot of things that I cannot explain and describe here.”

“In this very moment, I just wanna say how happy and thankful I am. The Childern of Hurin (story by J.R.R. Tolkien)

I just finished reading this book about children of Hurin, unfinished story by J.R.R Tolkien (the author of Lord of the Ring) and then continued by his son, Christopher Tolkien.

It is indeed a dark tale as it has no happy ending (at all), so for those who is not keen on bad ending story, i would not recommend this to you. It also has a quite simple theme, yet has unwell developed character here. It is not a marvelous work if compared to Lord of the Ring

I'm going to tell briefly about this book. Skip this if you'd like to.

the tale began at the history of Hurin, his ancestors, his wife. Hurin is a hero of the First Age in Middle-Earth, wedded to Morwen, and had three children, Turin, Erwen, and Nienor. As the title can tell you, the story was centered on Turin. Erwen is not been told much as she died in young age.

Hurin and his brother, Hour went to the battle against Mordor, the dark Lord. while Hour died, Hurin was being captured by Mordor. As Hurin refuse to tell the way how to go to the hidden kingdom, Mordor cursed him along with his kins. He was placed in the high place on through power of Mordor, later he could see or hear the evils that fall upon his children, Turin and Nienor.

While they heard no news about Hurin, Morwen sent Turin to Thingol, king of Elf, whom fostered Turin as his son. After Turin became a man himself, the curse which casted upon him has started. Being an ungrateful foster son, he (accidentally) caused a dead of an old elf and later runaway. Then he slayed (by mistake) his own friend in the darkness for an orc come to torment him. Turin later was happened to become a love stealer. The woman, Findulias, who beloved to other man has fallen for him, but Turin did not perceived it. Ego and arrogant of Turin caused a deep and great lose to Nargothrond, which he stayed there for few years. The doom upon Turin has not finished yet, as the latest the worst have not come yet.
but how worst it was.... i'm regret to say that i won't spoil the fun of reading books, so you better go find and read it yourself hehe...

At Google, we have a saying: “launch early and iterate.” While this approach is usually limited to our engineers, it apparently applies to our mailroom as well! As you may have read in the blogosphere, we hit "send" a bit early on a comic book introducing our new open source browser, Google Chrome. As we believe in access to information for everyone, we've now made the comic publicly available -- you can find it here. We will be launching the beta version of Google Chrome tomorrow in more than 100 countries.

So why are we launching Google Chrome? Because we believe we can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web.

All of us at Google spend much of our time working inside a browser. We search, chat, email and collaborate in a browser. And in our spare time, we shop, bank, read news and keep in touch with friends -- all using a browser. Because we spend so much time online, we began seriously thinking about what kind of browser could exist if we started from scratch and built on the best elements out there. We realized that the web had evolved from mainly simple text pages to rich, interactive applications and that we needed to completely rethink the browser. What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that's what we set out to build.

On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn't the browser that matters. It's only a tool to run the important stuff -- the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today's complex web applications much better. By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board. We also built a more powerful JavaScript engine, V8, to power the next generation of web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers.

This is just the beginning -- Google Chrome is far from done. We're releasing this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and will continue to make it even faster and more robust.

We owe a great debt to many open source projects, and we're committed to continuing on their path. We've used components from Apple's WebKit and Mozilla's Firefox, among others -- and in that spirit, we are making all of our code open source as well. We hope to collaborate with the entire community to help drive the web forward.

The web gets better with more options and innovation. Google Chrome is another option, and we hope it contributes to making the web even better.

1. Dari mana asal kentut ?
Dari gas dalam usus. Gas dalam usus berasal dari udara yang kita telan, yang menerobos ke usus dari darah, gas dari reaksi kimia & gas dari bakteri dalam perut.

2. Apa komposisi kentut ?
Bervariasi. Makin banyak udara anda telan, makin banyak kadar nitrogen dalam kentut (oksigen dari udara terabsorbsi oleh tubuh sebelum sampai di usus). Adanya bakteri serta reaksi kimia antara asam perut & cairan usus menghasilkan karbondioksida. Bakteri juga menghasilkan metana & hidrogen. Proporsi masing-masing gas tergantung apa yang anda makan, berapa banyak udara tertelan, jenis bakteri dalam usus, berapa lama kita menahan kentut. Makin lama menahan kentut, makin besar proporsi nitrogen, karena gas-gas lain terabsorbsi oleh darah melalui dinding usus. Orang yang makannya tergesa-gesa kadar oksigen dalam kentut lebih banyak karena tubuhnya tidak sempat mengabsorbsi oksigen. (Makanya jangan suka nahan kentut).

3. Kenapa kentut berbau busuk ? <== Pake nanya lagi
Bau kentut karena kandungan hidrogen sulfida & merkaptan. Kedua senyawa ini mengandung sulfur (belerang). Makin banyak kandungan sulfur dalam makanan anda, makin banyak sulfida & merkaptan diproduksi oleh bakteri dalam perut, & makin busuklah kentut anda.
Telur & daging punya peran besar dalam memproduksi bau busuk kentut. Kacang-kacangan berperan dalam memproduksi volume kentut, bukan dalam kebusukannya.

4. Kenapa kentut menimbulkan bunyi ? <== Bikin gw ngakak, tapi baca deh penjelasan ilmiahnya di bawah....
Karena adanya vibrasi lubang anus saat kentut diproduksi. Kerasnya bunyi tergantung pada kecepatan gas. (Dan diameter lubang anus anda, hi..hi....) <=== Gw bilang jg apa , jd kalo dah pada longgar tuh lubang anus..loe bayangin ndiri deh bunyinya ky apa? asli gw ngakak sendiri

5. Kenapa kentut yang busuk itu hangat & tidak bersuara ? duh...gak kuat gw nih!!
Salah satu sumber kentut adalah bakteri. Fermentasi bakteri & proses pencernaan memproduksi panas, hasil sampingnya adalah gas busuk. Ukuran gelembung gas lebih kecil, hangat & jenuh dengan produk metabolisme bakteri yg berbau busuk. Ini kemudian menjadi kentut, walau hanya kecil volumenya, tapi SBD (Silent But Deadly = Sunyi Tapi Mematikan ).

6. Berapa banyak kentut diproduksi sehari ?
Rata-rata setengah liter sehari dalam 14 kali kentut.

7. Mengapa kentut keluar melalui lubang dubur ?
Karena density-nya lebih ringan, kenapa gas kentut tidak melakukan perjalanan ke atas? Tidak demikian. Gerak peristaltik usus mendorong isinya ke arah bawah. Tekanan di sekitar anus lebih rendah. Gerak peristaltik usus menjadikan ruang menjadi bertekanan, sehingga memaksa isi usus, termasuk gas-nya untuk bergerak ke awasan yg bertekanan lebih rendah, yaitu sekitar anus. Dalam perjalanan ke arah anus, gelembung-gelembung kecil bergabung jadi gelembung besar. Kalau tidak ada gerak peristaltik, gelembung gas akan menerobos ke atas lagi, tapi tidak terlalu jauh, karena bentuk usus yg rumit & berbeit-belit. (Bayangkan kalo kentut keluar dari lubang hidung). <== Ada2 aja nih yang nulis

8. Berapa waktu yang diperlukan oleh kentut untuk melakukan perjalanan kehidung orang lain? <==== GokiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllLLLL.....hahhahahahah ahaha
Tergantung kondisi udara, seperti kelembaban, suhu,kecepatan & arah angin, berat molekul gas kentut, jarak antara 'transmitter' dengan 'receiver'. Begitu meninggalkan sumbernya, gas kentut menyebar konsentrasinya berkurang. Kalau kentut tidak terdeteksi dalam beberapa detik, berarti mengalami pengenceran di udara & hilang ditelan udara selama-lamanya. Kecuali kalau anda kentut di ruang sempit, seperti lift, mobil, konsentrasinya lebih banyak, sehingga baunya akan tinggal dalam waktu lama sampai akhirnya diserap dinding.

9. Apakah setiap orang kentut ?
Sudah pasti, kalau masih hidup. Sesaat setelah meninggalpun orang masih bisa kentut. (Makanya gak usah malu kalo sering kentut)

10. Betulkah laki-laki kentut lebih sering daripada perempuan ?

Pagi hari di toilet. yang disebut "morning thunder". Kalau resonansinya bagus, bisa kedengaran di seluruh penjuru rumah.

Kacang-kacangan mengandung zat gula yang tidak bisa dicerna tubuh. Gula tsb (raffinose, stachiose, erbascose) jika mencapai usus, bakteri di usus langsung berpesta pora & membuat banyak gas. Jagung, paprika, kubis, kembang kol, susu juga penyebab banyak kentut (bukan baunya!).

13. Selain makanan, apa saja penyebab kentut ?
Udara yang tertelan, makan terburu-buru, makan tanpa dikunyah, minum soft drink, naik pesawat udara (karena tekanan udara lebih rendah, sehingga gas di dalam usus mengalami ekspansi & muncul sebagai kentut).

14. Apakah kentut sama dengan sendawa, tapi muncul dari lain lubang ?
Tidak... sendawa muncul dari perut, komposisi kimianya lain dengan kentut. Sendawa mengandung udara lebih banyak, kentut mengandung gas yang Diproduksi oleh bakteri lebih banyak.

15. Kemana perginya gas kentut kalau ditahan tidak dikeluarkan ?
Bukan diabsorbsi darah, bukan hilang karena bocor..Tapi bermigrasi ke bagian atas menuju usus & pada gilirannya akan keluar juga. Jadi bukan lenyap, tapi hanya mengalami penundaan.

16. Mungkinkah kentut terbakar ?
Bisa saja. Kentut mengandung metana, hidrogen yang combustible (gas alam mengandung komponen ini juga). Kalau terbakar, nyala-nya berwarna biru karena kandungan unsur hidrogen. (Kalo naik gunung, lupa bawa korek api tapi mau masak indomie, pakai aja kentut buat nyalain kompor)

Karena anjing & kucing adalah karnivora (pemakan daging). Daging kaya akan protein. Protein mengandung banyak sulfur, jadi bau kentut binatang ini lebih busuk. Lain dengan herbivora seperti sapi, kuda, gajah, yang memproduksi kentut lebih banyak, lebih lama, lebih keras bunyinya, tapi relatif tidak berbau. (Makanya lebih baik pelihara gajah di rumah daripada anjing).

BEIJING (Reuters) - A handsome but anonymous guardian of the Olympics torch on its troubled world tour has won legions of Chinese female fans -- and plenty of marriage proposals.

Known only as "Second Brother on the Right" because of his customary position by the flame, the young man with boyish looks and cropped hair is an Internet sensation and nationalist hero.

Pictures of him in regulation blue-and-white Olimpics uniform abound on websites and Chinese media, with some fans likening him to Lei Feng, an idolized soldier of the Mao Zedong era.

"We love him not only because he is so handsome but because he represents the pride of China," one female blogger wrote.

The nameless hero's popularity soared as he was seen defending the torch from pro-free Tibet protests on its international tour before reaching China for the Games.

"Take your hands away from my dearest brother, you cop!" wrote another female fan, "Rabbit", next to a photo of a British policeman pushing the guard as he wrestled with a protester in a London street during the British leg of the tour.

Those demonstrations brought a counter-wave of patriotism among many young Chinese, who suspected a Western conspiracy to blacken China's name at one of its greatest moments.

Tiring of China's new wave of pop and TV stars, fans have idealized "Second Brother" as representing ancient values.

"They praised him for his 360-degree handsome look, well-built body in perfect proportion, refined and exemplary postures, smile and courtesy to torch bearers, his pals and audience, and determination to safeguard the Olympic spirit," reads his entry in the Wikipedia Web database.

"In torch relay pictures, he stayed calm and confident during violent situations, and gracious, graceful and proud in most others ... Those (other) stars or idols lacking an unpolluted and vigorous temperament are not attractive any longer."

"Second Brother" is not the only hero among the torch guards, who, by contrast with their status at home, were sometimes vilified in the West for being unquestioning representatives of stern Chinese authority.

Other guards have been given nicknames such as "Leading Handsome", "Ravishing Hand", "Kindness" and even "Noodle Soup".

On return to China, where the torch relays were peaceful in the run-up to the start of the Games on Friday, authorities have kept the guards' identities a state secret.

But that has not dampened female enthusiasm.

"My dear Second Brother on the Right, please marry me!" begged one girl on a site with 542 pages of odes and photos to the nameless hero.

Singapore Flyer changed its direction

Singapore Flyer changed its direction because of bad feng shui? Seriously, that is one of most ridiculous things I ever heard. But let's observe more some facts.

The final capsule was installed on 2 Oct 07, the wheel started rotating on 11 Feb 08 and it officially opened to the public on 1 March 08.

Singapore's economy has grown 7.5 percent for the whole of 2007.

Singapore PM, Lee Hsien Loon in his 2008 New Year Message on 31 Jan 07 expected the Singapore economy to grow by 4.5 percent to 6.5 percent in 2008.

On today's press release, Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) announced that Singapore economy is expected to grow by 4.0 - 5.0 percent in 2008. In the second quarter of 2008, GDP grew by 2.1 percent year on year, down from 6.9 percent increase in the preceding year. For the first half of 2008, the real GDP grew by 4.5 percent.

By giving those facts, does it mean that wrong direction in flyer has anything to do with slower economy? If so, why those feng shui masters only tell it now?
Anyway, the direction of the wheel has been changed, so let's see how the economy will head to. Going worse or better? If going worse, will the flyer be shut down?

At 165 metres (545 feet), or 42 storeys, the Singapore Flyer is 30 metres higher than Britain's London Eye, said builders Great Wheel Corp.
Despite being a modern city Singapore is a largely ethnic Chinese nation, where traditions still hold sway.

10 Facts about Cholesterol

1. Your liver produces about 1,000 mg of cholesterol a day — all the cholesterol your body needs. Another 200 to 500 mg can come from the food you eat.

2. Compelling evidence shows that the atherosclerotic process (buildup of fatty plaque in arteries) starts in childhood and progresses slowly into adulthood. Children from high-risk families (parents with high cholesterol, or parents or grandparents with heart disease at 55 years or younger) should have their cholesterol levels tested.

3. Your blood cholesterol is primarily made up of two kinds of cholesterol. LDL (low-density lipoprotein) is the “bad” cholesterol because when too much of it circulates in the blood, it can slowly build up in the walls of the arteries that feed the heart and brain. HDL (high-density lipoprotein) is the “good” cholesterol because it helps remove “bad” cholesterol from arteries and prevent blockage. Triglyceride is a form of fat. It is made in your body and also comes from food. People with high triglycerides often have high total cholesterol, high LDL cholesterol and a low HDL cholesterol level.

4. High cholesterol has no symptoms, so the only way to know your cholesterol levels is by having them checked.

5. First and foremost you should check your lifestyle habits. Are you a smoker? Do you eat too much saturated fat, trans fat or cholesterol? Are you physically inactive? All of these modifiable factors can affect your cholesterol levels. Before starting you on medication, your physician will probably address your diet and exercise and smoking habits. Then, if heart-healthy eating, at least 30 minutes of moderately vigorous physical activity on five or more days of the week and quitting smoking don’t lower your cholesterol, your doctor may prescribe medication. Along with saturated fats, they're the main dietary causes of high blood cholesterol. The amount of trans fat in food is listed on the Nutrition Facts panel. Learning to read and interpret food labels is important in limiting your intake of saturated fats.

Neither the American Heart Association or the federal government’s National Cholesterol Education Program recommends postmenopausal hormone therapy (PHT, formerly called hormone replacement therapy or HRT) as an alternative to cholesterol-lowering drugs for women at risk for elevated cholesterol levels. PHT is not for every woman. To reduce the risk of a first heart attack or stroke, the American Heart Association recommends reducing risk factors such as high cholesterol and blood pressure with lifestyle changes and, if needed, taking medications.

I got Rynn Lin's review from this site. As for now I only heard 4 songs, so I can comment those four. My comments will be on this format

This is Lin Yu Zhong's latest album, where you can find his latest single, Gan Wu Nu.
This is my review of the album after listening to it over and over again. Overall, I love it. I'd play it again and again (and again!).

01. Shang Lou / 上樓
One-minute instrumental intro (guitar).

02. Gan Wu Nu / 幹物女
His first single. It has a fun melody and very easy to listen to. Love the MV too! And the lyrics are cute too! Though I understand very little Chinese, I find the lyrics amusing.
yes, it has a funny melody. i always smiled when heard the girl mumbling about "ai wo, bu ai wo"

03. Yuan Yuan / 遠遠
This is a ballad that is fairly likeable. I didn't like it the first time I heard it. But the sound gets better after several times listening to it.

04. Gai Jia / 改嫁
Another ballad. Somehow the intro sounds like Chinese music from traditional ceremony (e.g wedding, praying, funeral, etc...). Can somebody explain why? The chorus will easily get stuck in your mind, though. The music arrangement has a very "Chinese-style" sound to it. (Or what Leehom would describe as 'Chinked-Out', right?). I love the easy-flow of the song.
hmm... Gai Jia means remarriage, right? that explains why he put the sound like that. This is my most favourite song from this album.

05. Ping Gai / 瓶蓋
An easy-flow track. With by-the-beach feels to it. When I first heard it, I thought I've heard something like this in his previous album. It is just mediocre for me. I hope he won't release this as a single, though.

06. Wei Ta Ming C Wo Jia Ni / 維他命C我加你
This is a fast number. Slightly (only slightly) rock-ish. It gets more fun when the song progresses. From 02:50 onwards, the song gets faster and made we wanna create a video of me running around, with THIS song as the background music.

07. Fang Kong / 放空
37 seconds of instrumental intro for the next song.

08. Di Liu Ge Di Dian / 第六個地點
I suppose this ballad is based on a really sad theme. Cos his voice is sort of sobbing in it. (Try singing after you cried your eyes out). The song is good, it could make a really awesome Korean drama OST (make sure the drama is super sad!). This is my favourite ballad of the album. His voice breaks my heart, even though I don't know what the song is about!

09. Ni Tiao Biao / 逆跳表
This is another easy-flowing song. I think this song is very romantic. Even though I don't know the words (again!). But I think it's a great dating song. Hao lang man!

10. Zhi Shao Ai Guo / 至少愛過
Here we go, another sad ballad. Again, his voice sounds draggy. Maybe he really feels the song that hs voice sounds sobbing. But hey, it works! I feel how sad a guy could be, and even sing about it. Hehe~

11. Xing Fu Ma Xin Tuan / 幸福馬戲團
This sounds has a midnight-clubby feels to it. It kind of reminds me of JJ Lin's Sha Shou. A little hip-hop and rap here and there. Very un-Yu Zhong. Somehow I don't like that little giggling sound in 02:16 - 02:23. Freaky.
haha... it's not freaky, though... quite nice to know that rynn give a good effort on new style.

12. Qiang Mei Gui / 搶玫瑰 - Feat. Lin Jun Jie
To be honest, I actually waited for this song from the moment I press play! I love JJ's voice (as I always do!). I expected this song to be more lively, though. But this is OK. I'd say this is a progressive ballad. I like it, but it's forgettable (sorry!). But I'd listen to it over and over again because of JJ.
yes, i'm totally agree with this. i loved this duet when first heard this, but later on i felt this song quite boring.

can cuil overcome google?

"can cuil overcome google?"
That question crossed my mind after reading the article about cuil on detikom.

As you can guess, cuil is search engine like google. According to the detikom, cuil is developed by Anna Patterson, ex google scientist, along with her husband, Tom Costello and few others ex google scientist. Costello claimed that with 120 billion web pages, cuil is much bigger than its rivals.

On cuil's about us page, it explains that Cuil is an Irish word for knowledge, and it also stated the below:

After goes through some searches using this two search engines, i conclude that google is still much much better than cuil on some ways.

Let's discuss in what extend i prefer google than cuil:
1. appearance

both of them has simple interface. it sure makes the loading more faster (if compare to yahoo), but what i dislike about cuil, is the color background. i have no idea why cuil choose black. i just feel my eyes is not comfortable with this (yet). on the other hand, google has a clean background and sometimes has a theme on its logo. i am always entertained by it.

2. search by simple keyword
simple keyword here means that the keyword is in the domain name, e.g. google or cuil itself.
for this searching, i start with my blog keyword: "sugilee". As you can see in below image, cuil cannot find anything that match sugilee, meanwhile with google my blog is 5th of the list.

Probably you think that this is not fair as blogspot is belong to google. ok, let's try another one. this time i use my company name "starhub" as the keyword. Here is the result and see the different.

So where does the "120 billion pages" claim comes from????

3. search by a question
For this purpose, i use question "how to convert c# to vb.net" as keyword. See the result...

4. search by special keywords
I try to search a currency converter from SGD to IDR.

Conclusion:
This is why google is called a smart ass search engine, it knows exactly what people are looking for and what people wish to search for. Google's inteligence is much beyond than cuil.
So to answer the question i raised before, there is an absolute NO for cuil to be able to overcome google (not now yet, probably)

A junior manager, a senior manager and their boss are on their way to A meeting. On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp. They rub the lamp and a ghost appears. The ghost says, "Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each"

So the eager senior manager shouted, I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas, on a fast boat and have no worries. "Pfufffff, and he was gone.

Now the junior manager could not keep quiet and shouted "I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and tails. "Pfufffff, and he was also gone.

The boss calmly said, "I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch ".

A priest was driving along and saw a nun on the side of the road, he Stopped and offered her a lift which she gladly accepted. She got in and Crossed her legs, forcing her gown to open and reveal a lovely leg. The priest had a look and nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun looked at him and immediately said, "Father, remember psalm 129?" The priest was flustered and apologized profusely. The nun once again said, "Father, remember psalm 129?" Once again the priest apologised. "Sorry sister, but the mind is weak." Arriving at the convent, the nun got out, gave him a meaningful glance and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to retrieve a bible and looked up psalm 129. It Said, "Go forth and seek; further up, you will find glory."

There were these 4 guys, a Russian, a German, an American and a French, who found this small genie bottle. When they rubbed the bottle, a genie appears. Thankful that the 4 guys had released him out of the bottle, he said, "Next to you all are 4 swimming pools, I will give each of you a wish. When you run towards the pool and jump, you shout what you want the pool of water to become, then your wish will come true."

The French wanted to start. He ran towards the pool, jumped and shouted WINE". The pool immediately changed into a pool of wine. The Frenchman was so happy swimming and drinking from the pool.

Next is the Russian's turn, he Did the same and shouted, "VODKA"
and immersed himself into a pool of vodka.

The German was next and he jumped and shouted, "BEER".
He was so contented with His beer pool.

The last is the American. He was running towards the pool when suddenly he steps on a banana peel. He slipped towards the pool and shouted, "SHIT!!!!!!!........."

as i mentioned in the last blog, i will post my writing homework here.

The task is to write the following topic:

Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas (in words, pictures, music or film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they do.

To what extend do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Here is my writing:

Democracy and liberalism has touched many of life aspect, including arts. Most artists expect they will no longer dependent to or interfered by government rules on creating their own creativity. In this essay I intend to discuss my point of views to this matter.

I always believe that if someone is given a chance to express their own ideas, it will lead to a new thingy or so-called invention. In music history, rap is considered as a big breakthrough. Eminem, an American white rapper in one of his interview, once said that rap was born as a freedom form of music which you can see from the lyrics. Film also does have an invention of its own. I refer to the animation film. Some producers or directors use this kind of film to show a different angle in which they cannot find if they cast the real actor or actress. Beowulf is a good example. In this film, you can see much nudity. If this is to performed by an actor or actress, there might be a negative talking about them.

Freedom is indeed a good thing, but must not be misused or misplaced, especially in Asian country. If the artis is not careful, it will sure harm himself or even can create a chaos in society. For such case, i agree that government will have to interfere. In my country, Indonesia, sex is still a taboo, let alone using sex as novel topics, it would result a controversy. Ayu utami, a young generation novelist had shocked the public in 1998 with her novel called Saman, in which she described the woman genital very clearly. In order to calm down the situation, government had to censor it.

Apart from negative side that can be created, the creativity might give the benefit to the society. People will have more choice in choosing what they like and what they don't. When Singapore government run the Mandarin language policy back in 1970s, others Chinese dialects like hokkian, teochiew, or hakka was banned from public appearance, including film. But since the government gave a green light few years ago, now its citizen can enjoy their local taste of films. For example 881, the first full hokkian made by Singaporean film. Its success in achieving box office has proved it.

As I have discussed before, freedom in creativity is indeed a good thing, and sometimes can give the benefit to people, even might resulting to an invention. But there is still need a government role to ensure the freedom is not misused and misplaced.

i should have realized before that blogging or telling stories about life either it is our own life or others is harmful. people reading it may interpret differently. people can sense the words wrongly. for example, the two singapore bloggers fought each other because of the words. What make everything worsen is lacking of vocabulary and grammar like me that can cause people reading it become miss understanding. sometimes their perception is running far from my original thought.
it happened on my previous blog entry. actually i'm not telling a story about me, but high school friend of mine. she has a complicated problem and i had no advice for her except being a good listener to her.
anyway back to the topic, in that blog i said something about "people who stand alone like me. family is far way from distance. So how?" what i'm trying to say is "bagaimana rasanya kalo hal itu terjadi pada gw yg hidup mandiri dan jauh dari keluarga?", but somehow my friend who read my blog said i'm so pity to have such lonely life... you see how i wrongly make a sentence with my bad grammar and vocabulary and lead to misunderstanding...

the main reason of me blogging actively recently is to practice my english as advised by some friends and my teacher. but i think from now on i must avoid this kind of topics and choose more general topics.

anyway, i have a writing homework. the topic is about artist. i will post it after i have done it... wish me luck then... ^_^

time flies by

two nights ago, i called my senior high school friends, eni dahayu... she came to singapore since last week to accompany her mom for medical check up. her relative, eddy susilo, which is my friend also had asked me to meet her last saturday, but was canceled because eni had no time.
anyway as we talked in phone, we flashed back about memories of our high school... wew... it was a decade ago... time is flying by so fast. many of our school mates got married and have kids already. sansan, siti, fancy, hengki, senpri, laura are among the list. eni will join the list soon. she will get marry this September... then she kept asking me why eddy, me and jan andre still in the jomblo club... hahaha... i guess we are too picky, aren't we? haha....
during today lunch time, i got called by eddy whether i can join their dinner together as eni will fly back to jakarta tomorrow... too bad i can not join due to my english course huhuhuhu...

Once saying in Indonesia "karena nila setitik, rusaklah susu belanga" or "panas setahun dihapus hujan sehari"...
It roughly means that all the good things you've done in your life becoming useless once you did a bad thing.
Why? it is due to human nature on how easy people remember and see others badness.
It could happened in any kind of life aspect. It could be your job, career, business, loveship (shit, -red), friendship (shit, -red), or social life.
The only exceptional i could think of is family. However your love has broken you, or your friend has let you down, or job has stressed you, or life has failed you, the family will never fail you. It's the only place where you can feel comfort, and where you can distressed.
But for people who stand alone like me, it's hard. Family are far way from distance. So how? Luckily i have few person i can rely on...

TAIPEI - Malaysian singer Gary Cao and Tanya Chua of Singapore scooped top honours Saturday at Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards, dubbed the Chinese-language Grammys.

Cao saw off favourites Eason Chan and Khalil Fong of Hong Kong as well as Taiwanese rocker Shin to receive the Best Mandarin Male Singer accolade for his album "Super Sunshine."

"My family, my friends and fans, thank you," said an emotional Cao.

Chua was crowned Best Mandarin Female Singer for the second time for "Goodbye & Hello," the first album she produced that also brought her Best Producer award.

"I didn't expect to receive two awards, they are very big encouragements for me... I want to thank my fans who have given me strength," she said.

Chua triumphed over industry heavyweights including Taiwan's pop diva A-Mei, Hong Kong's Karen Mok and Singapore's Stefanie Sun. But Mok walked off with Best Album of the Year for "Live Is" featuring songs all composed by her.

Taiwan's pop prince Jay Chou won the most gongs, bagging various awards for his latest albums "On the Run" and "Secret."

Chou won Best Composer for single "Blue and White Porcelain," which was also named Best Song of the Year.

His long-time collaborator Vincent Fang finally took home the Best Lyricist prize for the same song after being nominated for an eighth time.

Chou also added the titles of Best Instrumental Producer and Best Instrumental Composer for "Secret," a piano soundtrack for the movie of the same name which he directed and starred in.

beyond my limit

what is limit? how can one measure and set the limit? what would happened when someone stepped on behind their limit?

according to dictionary, limit means the final, utmost, or furthest boundary or point as to extent, amount, continuance, procedure. for me, how to measure and set the limit is very relative to each person. one can set the same or higher limit than others for the same occasion.
then when someone already set the limit, what if he/she pass by the limit? what if it is over limit? usually over something is not a good thing, i.e. over weight... then what about over limit?
should be not a wise thing to do...

it happened this week when i forced myself beyond my physical limit. I felt sick from last sunday but I still had some projects on the go that I had to complete by the end of this weeks, which is today. Later I treated myself real hard. I consumed every what I thought can help me to go through this, i.e vitamin C twice a day, Mr. P aka Panadol, tolak angin, chicken soup, etc. yes, it was worked. I was able to deliver the project on time as well as I still could manage to attend the courses.

As I said before this is not a wise thing to do... My stamina drop very fast now. I felt body aching, coughing, sore throat, cold, headache. But at least tomorrow is weekend so I can take a good and long rest...

BERLINDUNG YANG BAGAIMANAKAH ?

Ketika seseorang bertemu dengan ajaran yang kita sedang pelajari ini dan
mungkin melaksanakannya pada taraf tertentu, kadang kala mereka berharap
untuk menjadikan ajaran tersebut sebagai penuntun hidupnya. Pada saat itu
pikiran mereka beralih menjadi seorang pengikut ajaran ini. Mereka akan
menyadari bahwa pelaksanaan ajaran dengan sepenuh hati tidaklah mungkin
apabila masih 'duduk-duduk di bangku'.

Namun kemudian, apakah hal ini bukan pe-label-an terhadap diri sendiri,
mengadopsi pandangan, bahkan membatasi seseorang? Marilah kita meninjau ke
dalam penolakan-penolakan ini dulu sebelum kita melangkah kepada pembicaraan
lebih lanjut.

Segala sesuatu di dunia ini memiliki label - sebutan, nama. Nama atau label
hanyalah kata-kata yang secara intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik sesungguhnya
tidak mengandung bahaya. Hanya apabila orang-orang menggunakan, mengadopsi
untuk membesarkan rasa kepentingan mereka, meningkatkan kesombongan, atau
untuk beberapa motivasi tersembunyi misalnya - untuk memperoleh kekuasaan,
kekayaan atau prestise - mereka telah menggunakan label tersebut secara
salah. Di dalam label ajaran yang kita bahas ini tidak mengandung bahaya

yang akan mengarahkan kita untuk merealisasi kebahagiaan sejati

Di dalam menganut suatu ajaran, seseorang umumnya dilibatkan dengan harapan
perlindungan, misalnya akan: keselamatan, kekayaan, kesejahteraan, entah
dari ruang / bangunan, dari mahluk yang dianggap memiliki kekuatan di luar
jangkauan awam, atau dari mahluk yang di-pra-anggap sebagai pencipta /
pelindung / pengatur segala sesuatu (termasuk cacat mental / fisik sejak
lahir, perbedaan kesejahteraan sejak lahir, perang, pembunuhan, kelaparan,
epidemi dan sebagainya).

Perumpamaan cara-cara berlindung

Ada beberapa ilustrasi tentang bagaimana seseorang berlindung di dalam
ajaran ini, banyak yang tergolong cara yang 'bodoh' dan ada satu cara yang
bijaksana, sebagai berikut:

1. Seseorang berlindung seperti burung beo. Burung ini cukup pandai dan
adaptatif serta dapat me-manage untuk mengulangi kata-kata yang diucapkan
manusia - namun mereka tidak memiliki ide apa yang dikatakan oleh manusia
itu ! Dengan cara yang sama kita dapat menjumpai penganut ajaran ini hanya
mengucapkan kata-kata yang secara umum disebut 'doa', namun hanya mengerti
tidak lebih seperti seekor burung beo.

2. Jenis lain cara berlindung adalah dengan cara seperti sapi. Binatang
yang memiliki sedikit intelegensia ini mengikuti pemimpinnya tanpa
mengetahui kemana mereka akan pergi, juga, di dalam cara yang sama, beberapa
orang mengulang 'doa' perlindungan hanya karena pemimpinnya membacakan 'doa'
tersebut. Seyogyanya janganlah mengajarkan umat untuk menjadi pengikut
seperti sapi tersebut; namun mengajarkan ajaran sedemikian sehingga
pendengarnya dapat menyelidiki sendiri dan mengetahuinya sendiri, sehingga
mereka tidak seperti sapi.

3. Ibarat keledai adalah ilustrasi lainnya dari cara berlindung yang
salah. Keledai sangat bodoh dan hanya dapat digerakkan dengan hukuman yang
berat atau bujukan sebatang wortel. Demikian pula terjadi pada beberapa
orang yang kuat melekat kepada pandangan: mereka hanya dapat digerakkan
untuk mengulangi 'doa' perlindungan apabila mereka melihat 'sebatang wortel'
- yaitu beberapa keuntungan baginya, atau 'sebatang pemukul' - beberapa
hukuman atau kesulitan. Di dalam ajaran kita ini, 'batang pemukul' (ancaman
/ hukuman) tak pernah dipergunakan untuk mengkonversi / mengubah pandangan
orang lain, juga penggunaan 'sebatang wortel' (hadiah / iming-iming) bukan
merupakan cara yang baik. Mereka yang membutuhkan 'batang pemukul' atau
'wortel' dalam mengikuti ajaran / berlindung di dalam suatu ajaran seperti
keledai dungu.

4. Berlindung seperti seekor rusa juga sangat mungkin. Rusa adalah
binatang liar yang penakut yang selalu siaga akan bahaya. Demikian pula
beberapa orang yang karena ketakutan dan didorong oleh ketidak-mengertian
menjadi 'umat ajaran ini.' Memang benar bahwa dunia ini diancam bahaya dan
ketakutan, namun ini bukanlah motivasi yang terbaik untuk berlindung.

5. Kemudian, terdapat cara berlindung seperti seekor burung gagak.
Dengan matanya yang jalang, burung gagak itu berkeliling selalu dalam
pencarian penganan kecil. Apabila berlindung dengan cara ini, maka cara
berlindung tersebut dilakukan hanya untuk keuntungan pribadi, dengan kata
lain dimotivasi oleh keserakahan.

6. Seekor kera dapat juga dijadikan ilustrasi. Kera adalah binatang yang
hampir tidak pernah tenang, selalu berpindah dan mencari sesuatu yang baru.
Demikian pula apabila seseorang dengan pikiran yang goyah berkata:"Saya
berlindung kepada ...", pikirannya selalu menyimpang ke hal lain dan bahkan
ia tidak dapat mengucapkan satu kalimat pun dengan lengkap dan penuh
konsentrasi.

7. Terakhir, berlindung seperti seorang bijaksana. Metode ini dianjurkan
karena motivasinya adalah pengertian yang jelas / benar, bukan kekotoran
batin.

Bagaimanakah cara berlindung yang benar ?

* Berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung tanpa rasa takut akan
ancaman (misalnya jika tidak jadi pengikutku kamu akan masuk neraka) juga
tanpa tergiur oleh 'iming-iming / janji (misalnya dengan mengikuti ajaranku
kamu pasti masuk surga).

* Berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung dengan pengertian bahwa
semua yang dilakukan dengan sebab yang tidak baik dan tidak benar maka
secara alamiah pasti akan menimbulkan reaksi/akibat yang tidak menyenangkan
(salah satunya mungkin masuk neraka).

* Berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung dengan pengertian bahwa
semua yang dilakukan dengan sebab yang baik dan benar pasti akan
menimbulkan reaksi/akibat yang baik dan membahagiakan (salah satunya masuk
surga).

Kepada siapakah berlindung yang benar ?

* Berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung kepada guru / nabi pembabar
ajaran yang dianutnya bukanlah untuk dilindungi oleh 'pribadi' guru atau
nabi pembabar pertama ajaran yang dianutnya. Namun seyogyanya berlindunglah
kepada guru / nabi pembabar ajaran yang dianutnya dengan maksud bahwa mereka
akan terlindung oleh perbuatannya sendiri yang mencontoh sifat sempurna guru
/ nabi pembabar ajaran yang dianutnya dalam hal: kemurah-hatian,
moralitas, tidak melekat pada keduniawian, kebijaksanaan, semangat,
kesabaran, kebenaran / kejujuran, tekad yang kuat, cinta kasih tanpa batas,
keseimbangan batin,

* berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung kepada ajaran yang
dianutnya bukanlah berlindung untuk dilindungi oleh 'materi' ajaran yang
dianutnya. Namun seyogyanya berlindunglah dengan maksud bahwa mereka akan
terlindung oleh perbuatannya sendiri dengan melaksanakan secara konsisten
ajaran yang dianutnya dengan pengertian benar secara bijaksana dalam rangka
mengikis keserakahan, kebencian dan kebodohan batin.

* Berlindung yang benar adalah berlindung kepada orang suci dalam
ajaran yang dianutnya bukanlah berlindung untuk dilindungi oleh 'pribadi'
orang suci yang telah berhasil mempraktekkan ajaran yang dianutnya. Namun
seyogyanya berlindunglah dengan maksud bahwa mereka akan terlindung oleh
perbuatannya sendiri dengan mencontoh usaha orang suci itu dalam
melaksanakan ajaran secara konsisten, dengan pengertian dan kebijaksanaan
hingga terbebas dari keserakahan, kebencian dan kekotoran batin.

Dengan berlindung seperti ini, diharapkan mereka akan terhindar dari
kekecewaan. Di samping itu, mereka menjadi tidak akan pernah mendiskreditkan
atau meng- kambing-hitam-kan konsep Tuhan. Mereka justru mendudukkan konsep
Tuhan pada proporsi yang sesungguhnya, sebagai Yang Esa dan Suci, konsep
yang diagungkan oleh sebagian besar manusia di dunia ini.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a. Sugar, is a cancer-feeder.

By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts.. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as CorningWare, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.

You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Jakarta MRT construction faces another delay

Construction of the planned mass rapid transit (MRT) system for Jakarta is likely to be postponed, due to delays in approving a bylaw for the project at the City Council.

The council was scheduled to pass the MRT bylaw in early May, but three political parties have asked more for more time to consider the proposal.

Deputy Speaker Maringan Pangaribuan said Tuesday there were three factions who wanted further information about the technical aspects of the MRT project, as they had not completely understood the explanation provided by the administration.

However, he said technical matters would be discussed after a city-owned company in charge for MRT was established -- which would take place when the planned bylaw was passed.

The three factions were the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the United Development Party (PPP) and the National Mandate Party (PAN), he said.

"They want one week to study the MRT's technical aspects. PAN, for example, has 12 questions on their list. They want to know about the underground and utility network and other technical aspects," he said.

"We decided to give the factions time, until Wednesday morning. If they still refuse it, we'll form a consultative committee to decide the plenary session," he said.

"There are four factions supporting and three opposed to the MRT bylaw. If the deadlock continues, we'll carry out voting in the plenary session," he added.

In an effort to overcome Jakarta's chronic traffic woes, the administration and the central government are working on the project, which was estimated to cost Rp 8.3 trillion (US$902 million). The money for the MRT is being sourced through loans from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, with an interest rate of 0.4 percent per annum.

The central government will pay for 42 percent of the loans, while the administration will cover the remainder.

The administration also plans to allocate Rp 85 billion in subsidies for MRT operations in 2015, when the system is in place.

"The investors and central government will arrange MRT's design engineering. The city-owned company will be transparent," Maringan said.

In the first phase of development, expected to begin in 2010, railway lines will be installed stretching 14.3 kilometers from Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta to Dukuh Atas in Central Jakarta.--JP

I thought...

Well, that's marriage for you,

My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast

So when I left for the office,
I felt pretty low
and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office,
my secretary Jane said,

when Jane knocked on my door
and said, 'You know,
It's such a beautiful day outside,

We went to lunch.

Real life story of True Love…Very rare nowadays….

HE was admitted to the hospital for diarrhoea and died of pneumonia seven days later. Madam Jane Soh makes an offering to her late parents.

Unknown to him, his wife had a fall the day before he died and was warded at the same hospital as him.

And while in hospital, his wife also did not know about her husband's death.

She herself died three days later, also of pneumonia.

But perhaps it was fate that Mr Soh Lai Whatt, 83, and his wife of more than 60 years, Madam Chan Ah Nee, 80, met their end within a few days of each other.

Behind the double tragedy is a tender love story.

In life, the couple hardly ever went anywhere without each other.

The New Paper learnt of their love story and last days from their children. They have 11 children and 20 grandchildren.

On 11 May, Mr Soh, who suffered from nose cancer, was admitted to the Singapore
General Hospital (SGH) after having a bout of diarrhoea.

TURN FOR THE WORSE

But his condition took a turn for the worse and he died on of pneumonia on 18 May.

The day before he died, his maid had taken his wife and daughter, who are both wheelchair-bound, out to get some air. Madam Chan became wheelchair- bound after she suffered a stroke last April.

She and her husband lived in a one-room flat at Bukit Merah View with one of their daughters, 52, and youngest son, Mr Victor Soh, 47.

On that fateful day, while the maid was pushing Madam Chan's daughter into the lift, she forgot to apply the brakes on Madam Chan's wheelchair.

Mr Victor Soh told The New Paper: 'My mother rolled down a few steps, fell off her wheelchair and rolled down half a flight of steps. She couldn't move.

'She got a large cut across her forehead and broke her collarbone. She bled a lot.'

Mr Soh was out when the maid called him to tell him about the fall.

Luckily, a neighbour saw the accident and called an ambulance. Madam Chan was sent to SGH, the same hospital her husband was in.

But he did not know about his wife's fall. His children kept it from him as they did not want him to worry.

The next day, he died.

Madam Chan had not visited her husband in the hospital before her fall as it was hard for her to move around.

Their daughter, Madam Jane Soh, 49, said: 'He missed her. Whenever he asked why Mum didn't visit him, we told her she was resting.'

After Mr Soh died, the family also kept Madam Chan in the dark about his death.

'We were worried she'd give up hope if she knew Dad was gone. We'd already lost Dad, we didn't want to lose her too,' Madam Soh explained.

But the children could tell that their mother suspected something was amiss.

Their eldest son, Mr Donald Soh, 62, said: 'We think she could sense our father was gone.'

Three days later, Madam Chan died, also of pneumonia.

She had suffered complications and her death was sudden. Her children said they did not even have a chance to talk to her before she died.

Madam Soh said: 'It was really sad that we lost them both within three days of each
other.

'But we took comfort in the thought that they might as well both go together, as they loved each other so much.'

The children held a joint wake for their parents.

The couple married when Madam Chan was 16.

Madam Soh recalled: 'Mum said Dad was very attracted to her. He was persistent in
courting her and visited her daily.'

WHIRLWIND ROMANCE

It was a whirlwind romance. The couple married after less than a year's courtship.

Their children said they had always been a loving couple, even in their twilight
years.

Madam Soh said: 'When we asked either of them out, they would prefer to go out only if the other went.'

Before Madam Chan suffered a stroke, the couple often strolled around the neighbourhood together and held hands.

Madam Soh said: 'My kids marvelled at the fact that they were still holding hands at their age, and asked why my husband and I didn't do so too.'

At home, Mr Soh would often gently pat his wife's hand, while the couple sat side by
side watching television.

'We don't know whether it was their wish, or just a coincidence that they passed away within days of each other,' said Madam Soh.

'Maybe Dad wanted Mum to accompany him and is very happy with her right now.'

Gini ceritanya: tadi pagi sekitar jam 11:30am, adik gw, Tino, ke KBRI untuk translate & legalize kartu keluarga. Terus, tiba-2 jam 12:30pm ada orang yang telp mama gw di Pasuruan dan bilang kalo Tino kecelakaan sepulang dari KBRI, naek taxi. Orang ini bilang namanya Lukito, ngakunya dari pihak KBRI Singapore, dan dia bilang bahwa Tino kecelakaan bersama dengan temannya, dan temannya itu sudah meninggal sedangkan Tino dalam keadaan comma dan harus segera dioperasi krn gegar otak.

Dia bilang nama dokter-nya adalah dr. Lim di Mt. Elizabeth. Dan minta mama gw utk telp dr. Agus di Jakarta utk konsultasi (or something like that, gw kurang jelas sih). Dia demand my mom to transfer $$$ to him as soon as possible, ato kalo nggak, Tino gak bisa dioperasi, dan akan mati dalam waktu 30min karena sudah parah banget.

Puji Tuhan mama gw gak gampang dikibuli (walau dia udah nangis-2). Mama gw langsung telp gw, dan bilang ke Bapak Lukito itu "Pak, anak saya punya asuransi kok. Pasti udah di-cover. Bapak telp anak saya yang satunya aja, yg juga ada di Singapore" Dan orang itu bilang "Lho anak ibu yang satunya juga kecelakaan" (tolak dalam nama Yesus!!!)
Terus mama gw langsung curiga, "Pak, ini anak saya yang satunya lagi telp handphone saya kok bisa dibilang kecelakaan!?!?"
Singkat cerita, gw telp Tino dan tahu kalo semuanya itu bohong belaka. Praise the Lord!!! :)

During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games 100-day countdown, the Officials has announced 30 songs that are nominated including that of Jay Chou's, Lee Hom's, Emil Chou's works. Jay Chou's 「千山萬水」is selected as one of the Best Olympic Songs. It was reported that Jay's solo performance was outstanding.

Over 100 Hong Kong, Taiwan and China artistes gathered at the Forbidden City Imperial Temple, Beijing, sang the Olympic Theme Song "Welcome Beijing" in unison. Amongst the artistes who sang were Lin Zhi Ling, Jackie Chan, Emil Chou, Jolin Chai, Stephanie Sun, FIR, and others.

last nite while waiting 4 my fren @ city hall mrt station, there came 3 SPF young man (probably NSFs posted to SPF) to tighten the security there... Surprisingly, the one stand in front of me kept texting while on duty. Even though I'm not Singaporean, I do work and live here and concern about the security, so I felt a bit annoyed about this guy's mis-placed behavior. Too bad I didn't get my camera along and my phone was dead. If not, I could snapped away some pics of him, so you can see how irresponsible he was. Is this kind of lack of discipline had made Mas Selamat escaped? err.. I'm not the proper person to answer that...

Looking back for 25 years, life has taught me so many things... Frenship, Love, Hate, Joy, Fun, Happy, Sad, Cry, Hurt, and so on... you named it, you got it... err, of course except sex and marriage... haha... I call it HaiZiWang life.
I've been through up and down few times in HaiZiWang before, but never felt so hurt and down like one year ago. It cut so deep it hurts down to my soul. My friends told me I ain't the same no more. I knew my heart was breaking. I really learn from it. I finally built up the strength to walk away. I don't regret it but I still live with the side effects. Still little protective 'bout the people that I let inside. Still little defensive thinkin folk be tryna run my life. Still little depressed inside, I fake a smile and deal with the side effects.
And now I marked today as the end of Hai Zi Wang (King of kids) chapter, and will start a new beginning as Wang Zi (Prince).
Some of you may think it is a metamorphosis phase of me... no, it isn't. it is not like an ugly caterpillar becomes a beauty butterfly. HaiZiWang is part of me, and always be. I won't throw it away as I also don't want to forget it. Maybe the fit word for this is reborn. yeah... I reborn as the same old brand new me haha... Now I see people in different way. I can see and know myself much better than before. I love who I am now. I do care more about myself. I do want ppl see and look high at me. I do want to be a talk-active. I do want to be a pro-active. That's why I describe it as "Wang Zi" with all his ego and charisma...

Finally, there is a rational and fair judgment on China.

IOC president Jacques Rogge told Western countries to stop hectoring China over human rights in the run-up to the 2008 Beijing Games, in an interview with a British newspaper published Saturday.

Rogge said that while he understood the strength of feeling in the West, expectations of how quickly China can change were overblown.

Rogge said protests were the wrong way to convince Beijing to change its ways.

"You don't obtain anything in China with a loud voice," Rogge said.

"That is the big mistake of people in the West wanting to add their views. To keep face is of paramount importance. All the Chinese specialists will tell you that only one thing works -- respectful, quiet, firm discussion.

"Otherwise the Chinese will close themselves. That is what is happening today. There is a lot of protest, a lot of very strong verbal power, and the Chinese, they close themselves."

Rogge said the IOC always thought handing the 2008 Olympics to Beijing would "open up China", and that in time this would happen.

"The Games, we believe, over time, will have a good influence on social evolution in China, and the Chinese admit it themselves," he said.

"I wonder if Tibet would be front page today were it not that the Games are being organised in Beijing. It would probably be page four or five," he said.

"We have been able to achieve something. I am not quite sure that heads of government have achieved much more than we have done."

i bet you guys wonders what Lactobacilus Acidophilus is about? it is a beneficial bacteria for our body...
i tell you how do i know that.
two weeks ago i got a high fever and pain all over the body, then i decided to see a physician. the lady doc then gave me only muscle relaxation + fever medicine only... but i still got a high fever the day after seeing doc. then i decided to see the doc again coz i'm scared of having dengue... the second doc gave me antibiotic.. the medicine was effective to cool down my fever, but i started vomiting whenever i ate something... i thought it took a while only, but i had to suffer for days... i mean i kept vomiting... then i go see the doc again, this time i was given a vomit medicine. the doc explained that the antibiotic caused that and i must stopped consuming it. apparently, the vomit medicine didn't work, i felt desperado... then i went searching on net, i found some article that explains the antibiotic we consume may "kill" beneficial bacteria in our body, that's why it causes the vomiting... the solution is we have to consume Lactobacilus acidophilus. this bacterial can be found in some yogurt. I decided to take this advice, and seems it worked... ^^

wew... it's been 2 months + since my last post... i was soooo lazzzy to create a new post, even though i have many stories to tell, like my chinese new year holiday @ jkt n bandung, my new job, my new interest of game, my bday.... why am i so lazy? i also dunno why...
anyway, i resume what happening for the past two months...

before i started my new job @ starhub, i took a long break to jakarta and also to celebrate cny. jakarta was flooded when i went there... and what make it worst no electricity at all at my house for days...wtf...

about my new job, so far still ok... nothing much to tell...

about game... i'm crazy about the maple game now... maybe because it's 2D game that make me interest to play it haha

While she thought the wallpaper is very cute, but her boss found it very offensive.

Many people got no style one. Me, I got character. See-ah. I don't simply take instructions from people. I think first lah. Don't like it, don't take lah. With boss also like that. I don't care. Sack sack lah. I not afraid one. Then, when got no mood to work, I just go for teh tarik. Don't like? Not my problem, what! When boss make noise, I tell him to fly kite. Money so little, some more got so much work. Where can? Some more got so many bosses. Big boss, small boss, woman boss. One say one thing. Listen until you pengsan. You can died like that. I tell you sometime not fair. Client also another kind. Always last minute change this change that. Ganrantee one. Make my life difficult only. Then. Kena work until 5 or 6 pm. Who can tahan like that? Something koyak in their head. I not joking. Don't know advertising but only talk big all the time. Then some more when the thing tak jalan, they complain we all no good. Then who kena? Me lah! Some more who?

DnD Takasago 07

Takasago Dinner n Dance 2007 was held at singapore civilisation museum at 14 Dec. This year event brought up shanghai casino nite theme... so the dress code must also followed the theme....

AT 6.30 pm the gate was open. Before the event begun, guests could have a palm reading, tattooing, and of course the casino... I did the tattoo on my left chin. To play at casino, every guests got 5 chips to play with. the chips can be used also for later auction. I lose all mine to dealer hiks...

7.30 pm, but the event haven't started yet... I was so hungry --"
Finally, at 7.50 pm, MC opened the show... but not dinner yet.. weks... Then takasago girls came out to dance and sing some chinese folk songs.. aiyo yo... after the taka girls, MC want us to played the game 1st... 14 tables is divided into two teams: golden and red team.. i joined the golden team one... at final, the winner team will get ang pao to each person :)

the game somehow was pending... Committee gave awards to long time service employers (5, 10, 15, and 20 years)... wow... 20 years??? ck ck ck

after that, the moment i waiting for.... the "makan" time... yeah....

Then, DnD is continued with another games show, lucky draw for 20 price, a show by two girls...

the game was pending again. this time MC announced the nomination of best dressed male and female, which will be crowned as Mr. and Mrs. Takasago... and guess what... I am one of the nominator.... wew... I'm so socked yet still got excited... haha... Like Hey, gorgeous (ch u show) the best 3 must do something before got voted.... Men have to do a catwalk and dance tuo tiau - tuo tiau... women have to do a catwalk but not doing that tuo tiau - tuo tiau... wew... not fair aaa.... --"

After each showing their best, we got voted... and guess what... I won.... I was crowned as Mr. Takasago... what an em brassing moment...

after this silly mr and mrs thing... the game was continued and golden team was won and got angpao... haha....

Finally, the moment we've been waiting for that is lucky draw. the grand price was $1188, 2nd price was trip to Bangkok, and 3rd price was digital camera... and as you guys can guessed.. I was no luck in any draw before, so was I this time.. lol

the time have already showed 11.05 pm, all people went to the floor to dance dance dance....
we left the ballroom at 11.45, a perfect time to catch the last MRT train...

so that's the story lho... I still very em brassed until now because suddenly I became a famous man in office... lol.... It's not a good thing haiz...

Well the reviews are in, the Spice Girls’ first concert has actually gotten pretty good reviews. The sold-out Vancouver show had over 15,000 people in attendance. The girls were never known for their singing, so no one’s really evaluating them on that. They weren’t even the greatest dancers. But they were good performers and knew how to please an audience, and according to the professionals (ie people that get paid to review Spice Girls concerts… what a job) the girls still have it.

The reviewer called the performance “ebullient pop music of a very high standard, presented with panache, and highly unlikely to provoke any attendance at the refund window.”

Despite the sassy young singers who stormed the pop world in the 1990s all now being in their 30s, four of them with children, they had yet to pass their sell-by date. “There seems no diminution in the energy they are prepared to expend, or the lengths they will go to to please the audience.”

The Vancouver Sun noted the crush for Spice Girls merchandise, underlining the lasting appeal of Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, Melanie “Sporty” Chisholm, Geri “Ginger” Halliwell, Melanie “Scary” Brown and Emma “Baby” Bunton. “Just as it was 10 years ago, the show wasn’t about great singing or dancing,” wrote the reviewer. “But it was about great entertainment. And the girls delivered the spice.”

There are some debates to whether or not they were lip-syncing… but the debate seems to be mostly between critics, as their fans don’t seem to give any attention about it. Posh’s husband David Beckham did showed up with their children. Several reviewers did note that all the girls had a solo performance except for Posh. Apparently she’s the worst singer of the group.

Amerika Serikat menjuarai Piala Davis pertamanya semenjak tahun 1995 usai pasangan gandanya Bob/Mike Bryan menundukkan pasangan Rusia Nikolay Davydenko/Igor Andreev 7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-2.

Kemenangan Bob/Mike Bryan -- yang juga merupakan saudara kembar -- di Memorial Coliseum Portland, AS, Minggu (2/12/2007) membuat AS sudah memenangi tiga dari lima laga final, setelah sebelumnya Andy Roddick dan James Blake meraih kemenangan.

Sehari sebelumnya, Roddick membuka kemenangan AS dengan skor 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

hari ini ada acara makan2 di cafe nya NTU.
temen kuliah gw dulu traktir makan2 di sono.
katanya sih cafe itu terletak di puncak nya NTU. dgr begitu bayanginnya seru deh... haha

pagi ini rada telat bgn nya.. almost 10 am aa... buru2 mandi, gogi, ganti pakaian...
liat2 jam.. dah jam 10an... janji ama tmn ketemuan di mrt red hill jam 11...
gawatnya blum beli kado pula... (sori mel, kalo baca harap jgn marah hihi)
akhirnya pg deh ke tiong bahru plaza.. challenger blum jg buka (dr kemarin dah ngincar sih mau beli tas disini).

lagi nunggu, felix (cowo nya amel) telpon kalo janjian ketemuan di mrt undur stgh jam, akhirnya gw ju pg sarapan lho.

hbs sarapan ke challenger, beli tas, then pg toko more than words buat bungkus kado...
hbs tuh buru2 naik mrt ke red hill, ketemuan ama felix, sherly, n karyono.. naik taksi ke nanyang. supir taksi nya rada goblok jg. masa nanyang aja ga tau, blg NTU jg ga tau... swt deh

then datanglah satu cewe manis dengan bawa payung, namanya vero, anak untar angk 2001. jadi total ada 7 org deh.

hbs pesan makan (gw pesan grilled salmon), ya biasa lha ngobrol2... biasanya korban pembicaraan si amel, tp x ini korban nya si sherly deh hahaha...
jam 1an gt dgr radio deh (dah janji ama someone buat dgr radio jam segitu), tp ternyata gw salah jadwal pula. gw ingatnya jam 12 indo, ternyata acara di radio itu mulai jam 12 sg... wah lau eh....sori ya.... hiks hiks
